We Without Wings
We without wings who live under the Sacred Sun
We fight honorably towards victory ‘til heaven declares that our deeds are done.
Some travel gloriously, others will pass over in vain
Let not life pass you by, to be left behind is to know true pain.
We without wings who live under the Golden Sun
Unlike most, we will trade wealth for fun
We understand neither desire nor greed
For Avarice is wrong! So please children take heed,
Until the debtors come again,
Face life head on. Challenge it with a grin.
We without wings who fight under the bloody moon
Through combat we learn of Death’s kiss all too soon
So waste not your breath on countless strife
Invest in others the gift of life.
We without wings who cast our eyes above
‘Twas hardships that taught us how to love
We despise our pain yet value our tears
We whisper our weakness in hopes that no one hears
We will learn flight only after we die
So take refuge in love, and cast your eyes to the sky!
